Travel Blog #17: Picture Perfect

Ni hao!!!

Day 17: I woke up a different kind of tired today. I was so glad that our field trip didn’t start until the afternoon because if it didn’t, I wouldn’t have the energy to go. Anyway, we visited the Summer Palace! Another attraction filled with beautiful temples, it never gets old. Plus they all make for great pictures!

It was another hot, humid day, so our energy was drained quickly. As always, people were still trying to take pictures of us – majority without asking. Besides that, we got some great pictures because the Summer Palace has beautiful nooks and crannies everywhere you turn.

After having photoshoot after photoshoot, we finally left the Summer Palace and yep, you guessed it, went back to our rooms and took a nap. After waking up, Danielle, Chelsea, Veronica and I went to a western restaurant called Lush. It was good! I got a burger and fries. We took a taxi back, and I will say, trying to haul a cab here is beyond difficult. If we don’t have to, we won’t.
